I’m an occupational therapist with 5+ years of experience working with people with disabilities in a wide variety of settings. I went to OT school with the hope of serving my communities, and across all the places I have worked, I have found a unifying theme – there is a great lack of support for anyone who falls outside of the “norm” for medical treatment. As someone in that group, I know how frustrating it can be to be sent in circles by medical professionals.
I became disabled as a toddler but didn’t learn about the Disability Community until I was in college. Having a chronic condition can be isolating, especially within the medical model of “diagnose > treat > cure”. Through working together, I hope to help you build skills and knowledge about yourself and your brain and body to allow you to thrive. Everything we do will be driven by you and your goals — Nothing about us without us.
